Roald Dahl Day

Happy Roald DahDay!!

Schools and Roald Dahl fans around the world celebrate Roald Dahl Day on September 13 to honour this world famous author who brought not only children but also adults tons of fun and enjoyable reading experience.

Before the end of September, the Library continues all kinds of Roald Dahl fun to inspire Roald Dahl fans. To join us, Mummies, Daddies, and little ones could:

  • Learn a new fact to impress people around you. According to Willy Wonka, “ A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men.
  • Make your own yummy peach smoothie.
  • Wear something yellow, that was Roald Dahl's favourite colour!
  • Invent 10 swishwiffling new gobblefunk words with your friends.
  • Give your friend a favourite book- wrapped in newspaper and tied up in string just like Roald Dahl used to do!

Of course, there are so many more fun ways to celebrate this special event. Come visit our Roald Dahl corners in the Library and get some scrumdiddlyumptious inspiration!
